Role: Assistant Nursery Manager (Non-Room Based)

Location: Wirral

Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 p/a

Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Start: ASAP

About The Role

We are delighted to be working with an Ofsted Rated 'Good' Nursery in Wirral who are looking to take on an Assistant Nursery Manager starting as soon as possible. You will be joining a growing group of nurseries who have an incredible reputation and a fantastic leadership. Your role will be assisting the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager in the day to day running of the Nursery with a particular emphasis on SEN such as Reports, Assessments etc. You will not be Room Based so it is an ideal role for anyone who has management experience but is looking to come out of a Room Role. You must have a solid understanding of SEND and the admin duties around it as well as Safeguarding. This role will be 42.5 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations and maintaining educational standards.
  • Ensure the centre complies with all relevant regulatory requirements and maintains high safety and health standards
  • Carry out SEN Assessments, Report and Tailored plans for children who have or have suspected SEND needs
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, ensuring a cohesive and motivated team
  • Lead efforts to enhance customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and promoting a positive centre experience for families
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling, payroll, and recruitment
  • Manage operational records and support financial planning to ensure sustainability

Ideal Candidate

  • An approved Level 3 qualification or above in early years education
  • Experience within an early years setting, with leadership or supervisory experience ideally as either a Assistant Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager
  • Knowledge of SEND and the Administration to go alongside it
  • Strong knowledge of Safeguarding
  • Proven track record of ensuring educational excellence and curriculum development
  • Experience in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and health and safety protocols
