Job description
Leader Education are recruiting a Classroom Support Assistant to work at a middle school based near Whitley Bay. The successful Classroom Support Assistant will have transferable skills and experience, as well as a desire to support children within education, whether it be in small groups or on a 1:1 basis. Qualifications are desirable but not essential. The school caters for children in key stages 3 & 4 within a mainstream school setting.
The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday starting at 8:30am until 3:30pm and is a long-term position.
The successful candidate will have:
- An enhanced DBS on the update service on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
- Transferable skills and relevant experience from roles in education, care, or support
- A desire to help children who need extra support within the classroom
- The ability to be proactive and enthusiastic to successfully support the children
- A good understanding of Safeguarding in education and the policies and procedures involved
