Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 - Depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Headteacher to a SEMH independent schools in Barnsley. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of both schools, ensuring the highest standards of education, leadership, and safeguarding.
The Role:
As Headteacher, you will:
  • Lead with vision - set clear objectives and establish policies to achieve outstanding outcomes for all pupils
  • Inspire and manage - provide strategic direction and line management for the Senior Leadership Team
  • Drive academic excellence - oversee the curriculum, monitor pupil progress, and set high expectations for teaching and learning
  • Ensure safeguarding excellence - lead on Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) compliance across both sites
  • Prepare for Ofsted - lead on inspections, ensuring the schools meet and exceed independent school standards
  • Develop staff - implement training and development programmes to empower the team
  • Manage resources effectively - oversee budgets, staffing, and the delivery of the School Development Plan
What We're Looking For:
  • A visionary leader with a passion for improving SEND/SEMH education
  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with a minimum of two years' experience in a SEND/SEMH setting
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams while driving continuous improvement
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and independent school standards
  • Experience in curriculum leadership and school development planning
  • A strategic thinker with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
