Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SEMH)

Leader Education are recruiting a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to work at a co-education secondary school provision for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The ideal candidate will have resilience as well as experience working alongside children or vulnerable adults with complex needs.

This school has quality first teaching at the heart of everything they do. Their aim is to give students a broad but balanced curriculum that recognises their need for a more personalised approach. They include therapeutic strategies alongside excellent pastoral support and care. With an overall 'Good' rating from Ofsted, this school is providing a change in culture and behaviour.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4.30pm and is a long-term position, upon a successful trial.

The successful candidate will have:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students.

• A good knowledge on EHCP's.
• The ability to assist in lessons and activities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• The ability to support the pupil in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
