Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Location: Bradford , West Yorkshire

Contract Type: Long and Short term

Leader Education are recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants to provide valuable experience and support to pupils with work that have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Part of this role you may be asked to cover classes when teachers are required elsewhere, being organised and time management are key requirements. Our Schools cater for students aged as young as 4 up to 19 based in Bradford and Keighley, that can ideally drive to be able to travel for work. The ideal Teaching Assistant will be HLTA qualified, with a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, have experience working with children and young people who need additional help daily, and most importantly have a passion for Education.

The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30am until 4:30pm and is a long-term position that may transition into a permanent role after a qualifying period.

The successful HLTA will have:

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Enthusiasm for working education.
  • HLTA Qualifications.
  • Experience working with students who have SEMH needs.
  • Good knowledge on EHCP's and how to implement them.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for supporting student learning.
