Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for an SEMH school.

This school is an alternative learning provider that works with young learners and their families across the City of Sunderland.

This school supports students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, therefore, experience with SEMH, or vulnerable individuals would be highly beneficial.

This school has demonstrated consistent academic improvement through its broad and impressive curriculum.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:00am until 4pm.

The successful candidate will have:

• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
• HLTA qualification
• Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Follow personalised curriculum's and care plans to meet pupil's requirements
• Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively
• Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils
