Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Gosforth
Contract Type: Long term

Leader Education are recruiting a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to work at a Smart Multi Academy Trust primary school based in Gosforth. The ideal candidate will have a Level 4 HLTA qualification, as well as extensive experience working in primary schools, ideally in early years or key stage one.

The school caters for early years foundation stage (EYFS) through to key stage two (KS2). They thrive on offering a nurturing ethos throughout the entire school, whilst maintaining individuality for every teacher and their class. They sit very comfortable with their Ofsted 'good' rating that proves they're an inclusive, welcoming school in the heart of their local community.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 3.30pm and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will have:

  • HLTA qualification.
  • DBS or be willing to obtain one.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
  • Knowledge of relevant educational policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the school.
