Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Keighley , West Yorkshire
Contract Type: Long Term
Pay: £90 - £105
Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work at a school in Keighley. SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist SEN (Specialist Educational Needs) school based near Keighley. The school supports students aged 5 - 19 with a range of Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Mild / Severe Autism, Downs Syndrome and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children and young people on a 1:1 or small group basis within a classroom setting.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, hours may slightly differ.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs and challenging behaviours.
- Be able to reliably commute to work via Public transport or personal vehicle.
- A patient, nurturing approach to supporting students with a wide range of abilities and needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other support staff.
- Be approachable and nurturing.
- The ability to adapt and respond to the dynamic and individual needs of students.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
