Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Leader Education is currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work in a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Wakefield. This long-term role is ideal for a qualified HLTA who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development across a variety of age groups, from Early Years to Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to lead interventions, cover classes during PPA time, and provide high-quality support for pupils with a range of academic and additional needs.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• HLTA qualification or relevant experience covering whole classes in a primary setting
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to deliver engaging lessons and interventions
• Experience working with children with additional learning needs or supporting EHCP targets
• A flexible, proactive, and positive attitude to supporting teaching and learning
• A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and the wider school community
