Job Title: Qualified Teaching Assistant
Location: Hebburn
Contract Type: Long term

Leader Education are recruiting a Qualified Teaching Assistant to work at Primary School based in Hebburn. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and caring nature as well as experience in working in a relatable role/field i.e. healthcare, nursery nurse, or social care.

The school caters for early years foundation stage (EYFS) through to key stage two (KS2). They foster an environment where children show respect and kindness to one another. Their vision is to work together, learn together and achieve together. They have continually achieved a 'good' Ofsted rating and have been described as a welcoming and inclusive school where pupils thrive.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 3.30pm and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will have:

  • DBS or be willing to obtain one.
  • Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Experience with SEND is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
  • Knowledge of relevant educational policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the school.
