Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and organised School Administrator to join a welcoming and busy school office in Wakefield. This long-term role requires a proactive individual who can confidently manage daily administrative tasks and act as a key point of contact for both staff and parents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Making morning phone calls to follow up on pupil absences
- Answering and directing general phone enquiries
- Maintaining accurate attendance records
- Supporting day-to-day office operations including filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Liaising with school staff, parents, and external agencies in a professional manner
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 3:00pm (term time only)
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a school office or similar administrative setting
- Excellent communication and telephone manner
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office and school MIS systems (SIMS experience desirable)
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
