Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Sunderland
Contract Type: Long term

Leader Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work at a primary school based in Sunderland. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and caring nature as well as experience in working in a relatable role/field i.e. healthcare, nursery nurse, or social care. The school wants their children to grow to become well-educated, well-rounded, and confident young people.

The school caters for early years foundation stage (EYFS) through to key stage two (KS2). This school's vision is all about inspiring, believing, challenging, and achieving. They sit very comfortable with their Ofsted 'good' rating, their behaviour was rated as exceptional with a happy and welcoming atmosphere throughout.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 3.30pm and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will have:

  • DBS or be willing to obtain one.
  • Educational background or work experience relevant to the position, i.e. teaching assistant, nursery practitioner, or support worker.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
  • Knowledge of relevant educational policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the school.
