Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Northumberland
Contract Type: Long term
Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a Primary School in Northumberland.
This role involves working on a 1:1 basis with a child with EAL - Therefore relevant experience would be preferred.
This vibrant, three-form-entry primary school, rated "Outstanding" by Ofsted, is dedicated to the highest standards of teaching and learning.
The school provides equal, high-quality learning opportunities for all pupils, with tailored support for those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 15:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will:
- Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
- Have a background working in education or relevant experience.
- Ideally have some knowledge of EAL.
- Assist pupils in lessons and activities.
- Work effectively with parents, carers, and other members of multidisciplinary teams to provide the best support.
- Be confident in working alongside students, ensuring they are fully supported within their learning and general classroom activities.
- Possess communication skills that can be personalised to suit students of different abilities.
