Job Title: Music Teacher

Leader Education is seeking a Music Teacher to join a large mainstream secondary school based in Durham. The ideal candidate will have QTS and experience delivering Music lessons to GCSE and Sixth Form students. Ideally, the right candidate will be able to teach both practical and theoretical aspects of music education.

The school caters to students aged 11-18 years old and is part of a Multi Academy Trust. With an Ofsted rating of 'Good' in all areas, this school offers a caring, inclusive, and safe culture.

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field.
• DBS or willingness to obtain one.
• QTS / TRN.
• Experience developing well-structured lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum.
• Familiarity with a variety of teaching methodologies and behavioural intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external professionals.
