Job Title: 1:1 Tutor
Location: Sunderland
Contract: Short term temporary
Leader Education are seeking a 1:1 Tutor to join an alternative learning provider that supports young learners and their families across the City of Sunderland.
This school, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, offers a broad curriculum designed to place students at the heart of everything it does.
It specialises in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, so experience working with SEMH or vulnerable individuals would be highly desired.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with students, building a strong rapport and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:00am until 4pm.
The successful candidate will have:
- Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one
- Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Follow personalised curriculum's and care plans to meet pupil's requirements
- Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils
