Outdoor Activity Instructor

📍 Location: Wakefield
🕒 Contract Type: Full time, permanent - 40 hours per week
💼 Salary: up to £29,000 (depending on qualifications)

Who We're Looking For:
We're searching for multi-skilled outdoor instructors who will deliver a range of outdoor educational activities. This is a full-time, year-round role with immense opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Key Qualities:

  • Passionate about the outdoors and sharing that enthusiasm with others.
  • Experienced with outdoor activities, willing to develop further skills.
  • Ready for a role that involves building long-term relationships with participants to help them build their skills and confidence.
  • Excellent communicator with strong people skills, able to manage groups in challenging environments.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but we're just as excited to hear from candidates with the right attitude, enthusiasm, and skills.

Essential Qualifications (At least one required):

  • RCI or CWI or equivalent ropes-based qualification.
  • ML or HML Award or equivalent.
  • Mountain Bike Leader/Instructor or equivalent.
  • Paddle UK Instructor/Coach or equivalent.
  • RYA Instructor or equivalent.
  • DofE Assessor.
  • Archery GB Instructor Award.
  • Bushcraft Practitioner.
  • Valid First Aid Qualification.

Safeguarding:
Successful applicants will need an enhanced DBS check, including child and adult barred checklists. We can assist if you don't already have one.

This role is with a leading organisation that provides specialist support and education for more than 2,000 children, young people, adults, and families across England and Wales, operating through seven specialist adventure centres.
