Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Stockton-On-Tees

Contract Type: Long term

Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Middlesbrough.

This outstanding school caters to pupils aged 4 to 11 with a range of learning difficulties, including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).

This school provides specialist provision for pupils across the Stockton-On-Tees borough.

The successful candidate will be passionate about working with children with additional needs and have relevant experience or transferable skills.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 15:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
  • Have a background working in education or relevant experience.
  • Experience working with children with SEND or vulnerable individuals.
  • Work effectively with parents, carers, and other members of multidisciplinary teams to provide the best support.
  • Be confident in working alongside students, ensuring they are fully supported within their learning and general classroom activities.
  • Possess communication skills that can be personalised to suit students of different abilities.
