Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant (Complex & Medical Needs)
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Contract Type: Long Term
Leader Education is recruiting a SEND Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored support for students with complex needs and medical conditions in a specialist setting in Wakefield. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with significant medical and educational challenges, ensuring they have the necessary support to thrive in a specialist environment designed to meet their unique needs.
Position Details:
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Long-term role with potential for a permanent contract
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Experience supporting students with complex needs and medical conditions
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional medical and learning needs
- Excellent communication skills for working closely with specialist staff, parents, and medical professionals
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Flexibility to respond to the varying needs of students within a specialist educational setting
