Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: North Tyneside
Contract Type: Long term
Leader Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a North Tyneside SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) secondary school.
In this role, you'll support students with diverse abilities and challenges related to Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
Whilst prior relevant experience is preferred, enthusiasm and commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment is paramount.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will:
- Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- Have experience of working in a transferable role.
- Follow personalised curriculum's and care plans to meet pupil's requirements.
- Work with the pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of the child's curriculum through lesson planning.
- Possess good classroom skills.
- Set up lessons, equipment, and activities within the classrooms.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for the pupil.
