Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a North Tyneside based school.
This school caters for students aged 7 - 16 years who have social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
This school is committed to providing the highest quality education to help students reach their full potential and secure the future they deserve.
The ideal Teaching Assistant will have a genuine passion for working with children and helping to improve their educational journey.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will:
- Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- Have experience of working in a transferable role.
- Follow personalised curriculum's and care plans to meet pupil's requirements.
- Work with the pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of the child's curriculum through lesson planning.
- Possess good classroom skills.
- Set up lessons, equipment, and activities within the classrooms.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for the pupil.
