Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Leader Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a North Tyneside SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) school.

In this role, you'll provide essential support to students with a wide range of abilities and needs, including those related to physical, medical, sensory, and speech and language challenges.

While prior relevant experience is preferred, enthusiasm and commitment are paramount.

Both students and staff take great pride in being part of the vibrant and supportive community this school offers.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
• Have experience of working in a transferrable role.
• Follow personalised curriculums and care plans to meet pupil's requirements.
• Work with the pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of the child's curriculum through lesson planning.
• Possess good classroom skills.
• Set up lessons, equipment, and activities within the classrooms.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for the pupil.
