Teacher of Mathematics Long Term (Term Time Only)

Leader Education are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Mathematics for a large secondary school in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

We particularly welcome applications from those who will newly qualify in 2023 or are relatively new to the profession. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to commence and to progress their career in an outstanding and supportive Maths faculty under the guidance of an outstanding Subject Leader. Delivering Maths to Years 7 through 11, you must be a confident and enthusiastic Teacher, capable of inspiring young people to achieve their potential.

If you are someone who has the ability to engage and enthuse students, coupled with the drive and commitment required to become a truly outstanding teacher, then we would like to hear from you.

This is a full time role, that is going to be long term supply, and could lead to a permanent role for the right person.

Applicants should be:

  • QTS / QTLS qualified
  • Experience of delivering Maths up to Key Stage 4 at a minimum
  • Applicants with FE or PCET Teaching qualifications will be considered
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the specific unique needs of a range of abilities
  • Passionate about helping students reach their potential
  • Organised and creative in your approach to teaching
  • Resilient in challenging situations
