In addition to providing access to qualified, experienced and fully vetted UK based teachers and support, leadership and non-classroom based staff, we work with overseas talent to ensure you can scour the globe to find the right professional for your setting.
As well as undergoing the checks detailed above, overseas trained teachers who have been awarded QTS in the UK will be verified and their teaching status confirmed via the NCTL. Overseas police checks will be carried out where applicable for teachers and other professionals who originate from a foreign country or have worked or lived overseas for more than 6 months during the last 5 years.
Right to work checks will be completed with candidates required to provide their passport and visa to confirm their status.
Our ongoing commitment to you
Once the relevant checks have been undertaken and the registration process completed for successful candidates, our commitment to the safety of your pupils and wider school or unit isn’t over.
All Leader Education candidates undergo ongoing update checks to ensure they continue to be suitable for the roles within the UK education system. DBS updates and barred list checks are completed every six months, DBS certificates are reviewed and renewed annually if candidates are not registered with the DBS update service, and the teaching status of every candidate is checked via the NCTL every year. Visa checks are also completed where applicable.
