Job Title: Cover Supervisor (Ex Army, Ex Police, Sports Coach)

Leader Education are recruiting a reliable and confident individual to work at a large, mainstream Primary School based in the Sunderland area. The Cover Supervisor will be required to carry out general classroom duties, ensuring that children can carry out pre-planned exercises when their teacher is absent.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children and demonstrate a genuine commitment to helping others. Experience in the Armed Forces or Police force is highly regarded for this position because of the valuable skills and attributes this experience can provide.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4.30pm and is a long-term position, given a successful trial.

The successful candidate will have:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS, or willingness to obtain this.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Flexibility and openness to working with various subjects and student age groups are expected.
• Proficiency in utilising technology for teaching and learning purposes.
