Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Sunderland

Leader Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant join a Sunderland based primary school, supporting young learners aged 7-11.

English as an Additional Language (EAL) plays a prominent role within the school.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Have experience working in a transferable role.
  • Follow personalised curriculum's and care plans to meet pupil's requirements.
  • Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery.
  • Set up lessons, equipment and activities within the classrooms.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils.
