ART AND DESIGN TECHNOLOGY TEACHER

Job Title: Art & Design Technology Teacher

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Contract Type: Full-time position

Leader Education are currently looking for an Art and Design Technology Teacher for a large Secondary School in the Wakefield area. The school aims to foster an encoouraging and aspirational environment to promote success and acheivement. There is a holistic approach to education, upholding high expectations of students to reach their potential.

The ideal individual will have previous experience teach Art and/or Design Technology at Secondary level. You will be dedicated, resilient and have a passion for teaching and learning. You will also have excellent classroom management skills, have the ability to plan fun and engaging lessons that cater to an array of learning styles, and have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum. We are looking for someone who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
  • Previous experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology within a Secondary School and be willing to give permission to obtain references
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning and the ability to deliver fun and engaging lessons
  • Adaptability and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students
  • Proficiency in utilising technology for teaching and learning purposes
