Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Sunderland

Contract Type: Temporary

Leader Education are recruiting a creative and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work in a large Primary School in the Sunderland area. This school is proud of the friendly and warm atmosphere they provide to both their staff and students.

This role will require the candidate to work on a 1:1 basis alongside a child with complex needs.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding the range of different social, emotional, and mental health barriers which can frequently arise when working with children with complex needs.

Leader Education is searching for a dedicated individual who has experience working alongside children who have complex needs. Although prior experience in a similar role is admirable but not essential.

The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Have a fully Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or have willingness to obtain one.
  • Previous experience working in a SEND environment.
  • Adaptability and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students.
  • Proficiency in utilising technology for teaching and learning purposes.
