Leader Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 Qualification for a Newcastle based primary school.

This vibrant and inclusive mainstream school takes pride in serving a diverse community, providing a nurturing and inspiring environment for children aged 3-11.

As part of the SMART Multi Academy Trust, the school is committed to ensuring every pupil feels happy, safe, and receives an exceptional standard of education.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:00 - 16:00 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one
• Have a background working in education or relevant experience
• Have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Create lessons plans
• Have experience of supporting children with SEND and SEMH
• Be confident in working alongside students, ensuring they are fully supported within their learning and general classroom activities
• Possess communication skills that can be personalised to suit pupils with a range of different needs
• Work effectively with parents, carers, and other members of multidisciplinary teams to provide the best support
