Job description
Leader Education are recruiting a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to work at a Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) School that caters for students in KS1 through to KS4 based in Northumberland. The ideal Teaching Assistant have a HLTA certification or at a minimum have a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. have experience working with children and young people who need additional help daily and have a passion for education. The school delivers learning on a holistic basis, enabling them to re-engage at their own speed and reach their full potential.
The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30am until 4:30pm and is a long-term position.
The successful HLTA will have:
- Enthusiasm for working in education
- HLTA Qualification
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents
- Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for supporting student learning
- Experience working with children including those who have SEMH needs
