Leader Education is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a large secondary school in Wakefield. This exciting role will commence after February half term and offers an excellent opportunity to inspire students through music and performance.
While a PGCE is desirable, it is not essential-enthusiasm, expertise, and a commitment to fostering a love of music are the key qualities we are looking for.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
- Inspire a love for music through a variety of teaching methods, including practical and theoretical approaches.
- Prepare students for performances, exams, and other assessments as required.
- Foster an inclusive and creative learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the school's wider cultural and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and senior staff.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- A strong background in music, with teaching experience in a secondary school setting (preferred but not required).
- The ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and safeguarding practices.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively within a large school environment.
- A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Leader Education Offers:
- Competitive pay rates.
- £100 refer-a-friend bonus (terms apply).
- Free CPD training opportunities to support your professional development.
- Dedicated support from a knowledgeable consultant throughout your placement.
- Potential opportunities for longer-term or permanent contracts.
If you are passionate about teaching music and inspiring young minds, we would love to hear from you. Please send your CV or contact us at 0333 577 5034 to learn more about this opportunity.
All applicants will undergo a thorough vetting process, including an enhanced DBS check and comprehensive reference checks, in line with our safeguarding commitments to young people.
