Job Title: Music Teacher

Leader Education are recruiting a Music Teacher for a Secondary academy based in Stockton-on-Tees.

The successful Music Teacher will join a warm and supportive environment, teaching students aged 11 to 16. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher passionate about inspiring creativity in their pupils.

The academy is dedicated to the wide variety of students who enrol, ensuring strong routines and great pastoral care for all pupils.

Leader Education are dedicated to ensuring that we find adaptable roles and schedules that work effectively for you. This role is likely to be long term, until the end of the academic year, working 4 days a week.

Requirements

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
• A current DBS that is on the update system, or a willingness to obtain one.
• Previous experience as a Music Teacher
• Ability to effectively deliver the curriculum, offering support, advice, and guidance to pupils
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with pupils, colleagues, parents and other professionals
• Adaptability and initiative to accommodate for various learning types and abilities, striving towards social and academic development
• High expectations and aspirations for young people and themselves

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high quality lessons
• Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils of all different abilities
• Communicating with pupils, teachers, and other members of staff
• Building effective relationships with parents/carers, sharing information regarding pupil's progress, behaviour and well-being
• Taking responsibility for pupils' educational development, ensuring equal provision for all
