Job description

At Leader Education, we are seeking a Pastoral Learning Support Assistant to support children within a mainstream school who cater for secondary students, this school is based in Blyth, Northumberland. The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have had previous experience working with young people as well as a genuine interest and commitment to helping them reach their full potential.

The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30 until 15:30.

The successful Candidate will:

  • Candidates will need an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one
  • Have a passion for teaching and learning with the ability to make learning enjoyable and fun
  • Support the development of social and emotional skills

  • Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative working
  • Monitor and manage students' well-being and behaviour
