Job Title: Science Teacher

Leader Education are recruiting a Science Teacher for a Secondary academy based in Stockton-on-Tees.

The successful candidate will become part of an outstanding team led by exceptional leadership. A deep passion for science education, along with a commitment to delivering the highest quality learning experience for students, is essential.

The academy is a dynamic community, welcoming students aged 11-16.

Leader Education are dedicated to ensuring that we find adaptable roles and schedules that work effectively for you. This role is long term, until the end of the academic year, working 5 days a week.

Requirements

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications
• A current DBS that is on the update system, or a willingness to obtain one
• Previous experience as a Science Teacher
• Ability to effectively deliver the Science curriculum, offering support, advice, and guidance to pupils
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with pupils, colleagues, parents and other professionals
• Adaptability and initiative to accommodate for various learning types and abilities, striving towards social and academic development
• High expectations and aspirations for young people and themselves

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high quality lessons
• Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils of all different abilities
• Communicating with pupils, teachers, and other members of staff
• Building effective relationships with parents/carers, sharing information regarding pupil's progress, behaviour and well-being
• Taking responsibility for pupils' educational development, ensuring equal provision for all
