Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Leader Education are seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant school in Durham.

In this role, you will step in to supervise classes and deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build connections with both the school and its students, while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic educational environment.

This school supports students with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) therefore, experience with SEMH, or vulnerable individuals would be highly beneficial.

This three-tiered school is a provision that priorities helping pupils reintegrate into mainstream education.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:00am until 4pm.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a current DBS that is on the update system, or a willingness to obtain one.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to students
• Effectively deliver the curriculum, offering support, advice and guidance to pupils
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Foster a welcoming and calm classroom environment
